Seeing Red

We are very fortunate to live near an area with Red Squirrels. This was taken in a small woodland in Co Donegal just outside the village of Muff. It’s called Lisnagrath Wood. Red squirrels have been in serious decline for a variety of reasons so it’s great to see them doing well here. They love peanuts and for this photograph I had placed a few into the hollow at the top of the tree trunk.

You may have heard of the Wild Atlantic Way and if setting off from the northern end, Muff village is the starting point.
