Light Painting

Tony Moore is a wonderful Light Painter. He sculpts his images using light - more specifically the light from a variety of torches. When I first saw his images I was hooked. This was a style of photography I wanted to pursue.

Just as with my interest in Bob Dylan’s music, particularly his earlier years, I looked at his inspirations like Woody Guthrie - I also searched for Tony’s inspirations. The name that popped out above all others was Harold Ross. For me his images are sublime. Like Tony he doesn’t just take photographs he makes them.
